Free Divorce Consultation

People often think attorneys are about one thing: money. We want to run profitable businesses just like everyone else, but we’re not here to gouge anyone.

At Helland Law Group, we offer a 30-minute initial meeting with a family law attorney or divorce lawyer. Consultations are a great way to learn about the strengths and weaknesses of your case, as well as a way for you to make sure you feel good about working with us. Tacoma and Pierce county residents with questions about divorce, separation, and other legal issues pertaining to families have been relying on Helland Law Group for over 35 years to give them a compassionate ear and straightforward advice.

Upon arrival, you will be asked to provide our office staff with some basic identifying information. One of our skilled family law attorneys will then meet with you to discuss how to best approach your particular issue. The free consultation is most effective if you come prepared. See the checklist below to make sure you get the most out of your time.

Your Family Law Case Checklist

We recommend that you try to bring with you the following information:

  1. Any specific questions that you have (write them down)
  2. General information regarding your assets and liabilities (debts
  3. You and your spouse’s employment information (six months of pay stubs, last two complete tax returns and W-2’s)
  4. Any specific information regarding your children (i.e., old parenting plans, counseling reports, CPS letters, etc.)

Upon review of the information that you provide to our office, we will determine what strategy best addresses your specific needs.
